24 February 2015: High website traffic yesterday, Books pages almost completed

On 23 February 2016, we had our second highest day for website traffic with 29,255 visits.  We are nearing completion of our new Books pages, with about ~1300 pathology related books, sorted by publisher, specialty and date posted.  You can also search by author and words in the title.  The books have all been converted to the new format, but we are verifying that we haven't missed any books, and that the system is operating properly.  The new books pages should be available by the USCAP '16 meeting in mid March.

16 February 2016: Case of the Week - Not Accepting Cases

Currently, we are not accepting cases due to the high case volume in our queue. We will add any new cases to our ‘Stored Cases’ database. Once our queue volume falls below 25 cases, we will pull cases in order of date received from the ‘Stored Cases’ database. We may contact you in the near future if Dr. Pernick has any inquiries about your case contribution.

Please make sure that all case contributions follow these guidelines:

1. Include a case description with short clinical history and diagnosis; discussion is optional
2. Images must be separate attachments, exceptional quality and at least 300 KB (JPG, GIF, TIFF format)
3. Case diagnosis must be confirmed by at least 2 pathologists
4. Include mailing address (U.S / Canada) for checks or PayPal username to receive payment ($50 per case)
5. Must be willing to respond to inquiries about the case
6. May send up to 3 cases per year; if you contribute more, the additional cases will be held and posted the following year
7. Please give us 1 week to review your case before contacting us again

We appreciate your interesting Case of the Week contributions to PathologyOutlines.com! We may resume accepting cases on May 1, 2016. Please visit our main Case of the Week page or email Dr. Pernick at NatPernick@gmail.com if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you!
